The deal, in plain words

What this is

My Circle of Friends is a private app for small groups of friends to agree on a date and keep what happened afterwards. It is invite-only: somebody already in a circle has to invite you.

What we ask of you

Use it for its purpose, with people who want to hear from you.

Do not put things in a circle that the people in it would not want there — that includes photographs of people who are not here to object. A circle is private, but it is not only yours.

Do not try to get at another circle, or at somebody else’s account. If you find a way to, please tell us rather than using it; we will thank you properly.

What you keep

What you write and upload stays yours. We store it and show it to the people in your circle because that is what the app is for, and we claim nothing else over it.

What we promise, and what we cannot

The service is provided as it is. It is a small app run by a small number of people; it can be unavailable, and things can go wrong. We keep backups and take the privacy of circles seriously, but we cannot promise perfection, and nothing here makes us liable for a plan that fell through.

Ending it

You can leave any circle at any time, and delete your account from the You screen. What that does, exactly, is set out on the privacy page.

We may close an account that is being used to harass somebody or to break into circles. That is the only reason we would.
